  28. Exactly. But MS "plug & play" isn't really, is it ? In my A4000, I just plugged
  29. in my Fast SCSI-2 card, hooked up some drives, turned the machine on and the
  30. disks were there ready to use on the Workbench. Now, in the 7000 UKP pentium
  31. I just specified for a client ("plug & play", of course !) I had to mess around 
  32. with jumpers on the SCSI cards, try my luck at the fruit-machine of a CMOS setup,
  33. and only then (a few hours later) could I start to use the disks. And this was after it
  34. had been configured at the factory. They really do mean the _play_ bit don't they :)

  36. And I love the way Windows95 hardware auto-detect can spend 20 minutes or more
  37. thrashing the system disk (why?) and still fail to detect something as basic
  38. as an extra hard-disk. Dontcha just love it !!
